Blankets

I have finished the basket weave blanket and the Sheepy blanket. I’ll post pictures of both here after I mail them off to their respective new homes. I plan to get the mommies of the intended recipients to take pictures of them in use and post them so I can see how they like them….

I’m working on a sampler afghan out of a book that Chris gave me for Christmas.  I also need to skein the yarn that Pat gave me so that I can get started on the toe up socks that she wants….That reminds me…I either need to measure her or get her to measure herself so that I can get the proportions right.

Project Updates

The owlie is finished.  It’s pretty cute and I’ll have to take some pictures of it and post them.

I haven’t worked on the new mittens for Adon recently but I might do that while taking a break from playing my new Sims game in the morning.

I have embroidered the first sheep on the sheepy blanket.  I will also take a picture of that and post them.

Later…..

Progess made…..

Well I managed to fix the mistake but ripping it out probably would have taken me less time.  I’ve gotten a few more rows done and have tentative hopes of starting the embroidery before the end of the week.  I’ll take and post pics of the blanket once it’s done but before I start the embroidery.  I’m thinking of doing a blanket of a similar size and border but with llamas instead of sheep….

ARRRGGHH!!!!

Ok so there has been a minor setback with the baby blanket I’m knitting.  Realized about a third of the way through a row that I’d made a mistake toward the beginning of the previous row.  I’m currently trying to fix it without having to rip out more than the 1/3 row I was working on when I realized the mistake.

Sheepy Blanket

Made good progress on the baby blanket that I’ve been working on.  I’ve started the squares across the top and then I have to do the border.  After that I just have to embroider the sheep on it.  I’m doing one of them in the opposite colors and having it facing the other way.  After all every herd has a black sheep doesn’t it. 🙂
