Well the blanket still isn’t done but I did get a pouch planned and knitted in a week.  I think that is an accomplishment considering I was working full time and then I helped get the truck loaded to go to Winter War XIV.

I’ve gotten some spinning done and learned to dye wool with Kool-Aid.  That was fun.  I have an idea of what to make now just have to work out how to do it.  Thanks to Jacinta over at Jamberrysongs for the prompt.

I’m going to start a new pair of mittens for Adon today and I’ve got another blanket going.  This one is in the same background color as the sheepy blanket but it is in individual squares.  I’m doing one of the blankets from the book Chris gave me for Christmas.

I’m supposed to be making a pair of socks for Pat but she’s only given me half of the yarn.  I’ll have to remember to contact her to see if she’s found the rest of it.  She gave me one skein and that is probably enough but I’d like to try the two at a time toe up socks and that would be easier if I had more than one skein to work from.

Working on a basket weave baby blanket in natural colored cotton.  Hope to have it done by February 15th to give to a friend who is expecting her first baby.

Random Squee

I got fifteen 40″ bamboo circulars in different sizes for Christmas…….

Almost done

My first pair of two-at-a-time socks is almost done.  I thought I would take the time to post a pic since I haven’t done that in a while.

I should have them done tonight.  Then all I have to do is find them a new home…

Socks

I’ve turned the heels on both socks now and I’m working on the gusset decreases.  I’ll take and post new pics after I’ve finished that and moved on to the foot.

The next socks I do will be two at a time again but from the toe up.  I got the companion book to the one I’m using now as a Christmas gift.

I hope that these socks will fit some of the little ones in my life.

So far this year…

I finished Adon’s mittens just after Christmas but I don’t like how they came out….I might knit another pair but use a single strand instead and then make a liner.  Maybe using fleece…

The two at a time socks are coming along nicely and I’m about done with the heels and then moving on the the foot.

After I finish the socks I’m going to finish the basket weave baby blanket and give that to a friend who is due in February.  Then I’m going to embroider the sheep on the sheepy blanket.

Current Project

I finished the first mitten for Adon and I see where I will need to make some changes for the second mitten to fit better.  I’m just about done with the cuff for the second mitten.  I have also been informed that I need to make him a hat and scarf to go with the mittens….Note to self get Chris to change the print head in the printer and read up on illusion knitting pattern creation.  I have this idea to put maybe Adon’s initials on the scarf and maybe a critter or two….

Another project

I’ve started the next set of mittens.  Adon wants red and white stripey ones.  I’m double stranding them for warmth.  I’m just not sure they’ll fit though….I’ll have to try the first one on him after I get to a certain point.

In recent knitting

Finished the body of the sheepy blanket last night. Now I just have to embroider it. Today I picked up yarn to start a pair of mittens for the BF’s nephew. I should hopefully have enough left for a hat and maybe a scarf. (I’m double stranding so I’m not sure…..

Progess made…..

Well I managed to fix the mistake but ripping it out probably would have taken me less time.  I’ve gotten a few more rows done and have tentative hopes of starting the embroidery before the end of the week.  I’ll take and post pics of the blanket once it’s done but before I start the embroidery.  I’m thinking of doing a blanket of a similar size and border but with llamas instead of sheep….
